Façade

Trip and Grace are the main characters of the game with which the user has to interact to create a story. See full paper for the copyright details.

Facade is a computer game that allows the user to interact with characters as a member of the virtual drama. The user can input their own text to influence the characters, creating a unique drama for each user. After the game is complete, the user can print a script of the resulting drama.

‘Façade is all about the user interaction with the virtual environment and that interaction is not scripted to offer you choices or any other pre-made scenarios… The Facade architecture integrates story level interaction (drama management), believable agents, and shallow natural language processing in the context of a first-person, graphical, real-time interactive drama.’
